Ak Consulting started 6 years ago as a mere distraction from the early years of motherhood. As I worked with more and more business owners, I realized there was a desperate need beyond simple compliance, and so my services expanded and grew, alongside my kiddies.
Founder and owner
I am a Chartered Global Management Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the UK, South Africa and Canada. My career started out in the investment banking world in London, where I was fortunate to be mentored by some of the most talented people in the financial industry. That strong foundation along with a passion for learning and sharing my knowledge has given me the skills to guide and support entrepreneurs on their business journey.
When not lost in a spreadsheet or taking care of the little people in my family, I am out enjoying all the outdoor activities on the Northshore. I am a passionate humanitarian with a love for animals, adventure and travelling the globe with a backpack and a lonely planet.
I qualified as a private equity lawyer in the UK and practised corporate law for multinational clients in London, UK and Hong Kong SAR. After having children and moving to Vancouver, I decided to focus my business skills on helping sole proprietors and small businesses manage their day to day bookkeeping needs.
